Before the First Sale... oBoy... Lets Go...!!!

I've been working on this project. I call it that now — a project — because when you build 4 sales channels across 2 different platforms, that's what it becomes. A project. A mission. A calling.

I made one sale on the platform I really believed would be our main source of revenue. One sale that was supposed to be the beginning of something bigger — a way to start helping our students in need. That's what this has always been about.

Then came the emails.

First one said I wasn't getting paid because my bank account was closed. I thought it was a mistake. Ignored it. Second one said I needed to add new banking information or I wouldn't receive payment. So I did what I had to do — went through multi-factor verification, which gave me a hard time at first until I remembered I had Duo through the School District. Got through it. Added the banking information. It looked empty when I got there, but I filled it in and thought — okay, we're good.

I put it behind me. Moved forward. Then I got an email saying I'd been paid.

Yo. I was happy. I haven't been driving much, doing everything I can to be fully operational before the next school year starts. So I went to check that first payment.

It wasn't there.

I got back on, contacted customer service. They walked me through changing my password, verifying the correct banking information was in place. Then they asked me about the other account — the one someone else had put there. I had to explain that I assumed I'd be paid through my card on file, attached to the same bank account I'd set up.

Whatever deity you pray to — that's okay. Because I had to thank mine.

Someone saw what we're building. Saw the gold in it. And tried to get to it before we even made our first sale on this platform. The deceiver was already at work — trying to put a monkey wrench in the plan before it even got started.

But MyGod. MyCreator. MyFaith.

He took care of me. Again. Like He always does.

I am grateful. And once again humbled by how He moves on my behalf.

We're still here. We're still building. And the first sale on this platform? It's coming. And when it does — we'll know exactly what it cost to get there.
